Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that
uses tiny, sterilized needles to create microtraumas in the skin to
stimulate collagen production. The trauma helps stimulate the
skin’s natural healing process, producing more collagen and
elastin. Microneedling helps smooth, firm, and tone the skin and
improves the appearance of scars, acne, and wrinkles.
Microneedling helps treat scars, enlarged pores, wrinkles, and
stretch marks. The procedure may cause small bleeding,
inflammation, short-term swelling/puffiness, redness, and skin
flaking. It may leave a drying, sandpaper-like feel for 3-5 days
post-procedure. As skin heals, fresh, new, glowy skin emerges.
For best results, three treatments back-to-back, about a month
apart, are recommended.
Your visit will require about 30 minutes of numbing cream, and
then the microneedling procedure takes about 20-30 minutes for
the face. Microneedling can be used for other areas of the body
as well.
Microneedling is highly recommended to treat active acne. For
faster recovery and enhanced results, microneedling with PRP or
Exosomes is recommended.
